50 Years of Fashion History
From Accountant to Haute Couture: The Story of 50 Years of Fashion Club 70
When you think of Moschino or Versace, images of Italian glamour instantly come to mind. But how did these iconic brands make their way to the Benelux? The answer lies closer than you think—right in Antwerp, with Luc Dheedene. A story that spans all facets of fashion: contemporary trends, premium denim, athleisure, and more.
What started as an accounting job at a knitwear company in Melle evolved into a defining chapter in the fashion history of the Low Countries. Inspired by Vogue Italia and driven by curiosity, the down-to-earth West Flemish entrepreneur set off for Vicenza in his Fiat 500. There, he sat at the table with renowned fashion families, forging relationships that continue to shape the industry today.
"What began as a leap into the unknown grew into a leading fashion company. Fashion Club 70 is built on passion, partnerships, and curiosity. We celebrate this milestone with everyone who has been part of this journey."

Brands like Bikkembergs and Dolce & Gabbana took off. Fashion Club 70’s success became contagious, evolving into an international fashion powerhouse. Scandinavian and American brands found their way to Antwerp, while Belgian brands were eager to embrace the company’s global approach. With 7 For All Mankind, premium denim became a wardrobe essential in Belgium. The athleisure trend gained traction with brands like K-Way and EA7, Armani’s sports line. What started with ready-to-wear expanded to include footwear and accessories, driven by customer demand.
Beyond wholesale, Fashion Club 70 introduced an innovative retail concept to the Belgian market and launched hospitality ventures. This led to the opening of Verso, the country’s first concept store, complete with the iconic Verso Café next door.
At Fashion Club 70, fashion and hospitality go hand in hand. The restaurant and bar at the company’s headquarters form its beating heart—a place where clients meet, deals are made, and bonds are strengthened. Every space is designed with an eye for aesthetics: the offices, created by Vincent Van Duysen, and the Verso concept, envisioned by Glenn Sestig.
